AEW Revolution Predictions

Just because we’re in Facebook jail, doesn’t mean the The Finisher Predictions title will not be in the line at tonight’s AEW shindig. Due to the draw at WWE Elimination Chamber it is a one-on-one battle as Lisa defends against Jerry and a former champ makes his first predictions in more than 3 months!

And because I’m the one whose making the effort to post these, I’m (Dan) gonna explain my thoughts.

  • World Championship: I think we all kind of accept that Mox is going to go away for a little while after this one, hell Tony Khan all but said it out loud. Not to mention, I think Kenny et al. will go on his belt collecting spree this spring.
  • Casino Tag Team Battle Royale: There so many guys in this one, it’s kind of a crapshoot. I’m just going with Pac & Fenix because that’s the title match I most want to see next.
  • Miro & Sabian vs. Best Friends: I wavered on this one for quite a while but in the end, this story needs a blow off and the heels don’t usually get the comeuppance. But Miro is not taking the fall here. Miro should beat the piss out of all three guys and move on to running though the roster on his way to a world title shot.
  • Face of the Revolution Ladder match: This has been well build, with Archer and Penta looking very good coming in. However, neither man would beat Darby in a future title match since he’s got the rocket strapped to his back. Scorpio Sky would be fun to see because that would be a fun title match. So chaos! However, if this was at All In, I’d be all for Max Caster. The future of The Acclaimed should be very bright.
  • Women’s Title: Shida won’t lose to an unknown stateside, or shouldn’t at the very least. Not to mention the oncoming Shida vs. Big Swole feud will be money. But if Mizunami can stay stateside for a while in the pandemic, they should absolutely build her into a title feud down the line.
  • Street Fight: AEW will not make the same mistake that WWE did and bury Sting in his first match with the company.
  • Big Money Match: I want this to be the start of Hangman Page’s rebuild to a rematch with Kenny Omega. Plus, there’s the Dark Order element with Matt Hardy so I think the obvious happens there.
  • World Tag Titles: There’s too much more to tell in the Inner Circle story and getting the tag belts makes no sense in that arc. Sammy Guevarra returning to screw with Jericho does however, make all the sense.
  • Rhio & Thunder Rose vs. Dr. Britt Baker and Rebel: Baker and Shida needs to be a thing, so you’ve got to keep her hot, even in a tag match. Which is why Rebel is here. Someone has to take the fall.
