I was going to write something snappy and attention-grabbing here but what do I look like, a professional writer? I have a what? A degree in journalism? Oh, screw that.
Stick around for commentary from the champ on this weekend’s action after all the picks.

– WWE Women’s Championship: Jade Cargill
As we’ve said from the very beginning of her WWE tenure, you don’t bring in someone like Jade to not have her hold gold. With her program with Naomi finished (at least for now), and with Tiffy Time having lasted over half a year at this point, the timing couldn’t be better.
– Tag Team Match: Jelly Roll/Randy Orton
No one really comes out of this looking good, least of which Creative. I guess you put the faces over? I guess? Does it even matter? Sure, put the faces over, great.
– WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss
I feel like this whole “Charlotte and Alexa aren’t friends but really are” angle is not one that you go through to not pay it off, at least in the near term. Plus I can see this leading to a brief program between Raquel and Roxanne!, passing the time a bit while Liv is on the shelf.
– Tag Team Match: Roman Reigns and Jay Uso
According to BetOnline, the OTC and MEJU are the strongest favorites on the card, tied with Naomi. And for good reason: this is pure payoff with Seth out (or “out”, still TBD). Bron Squared doesn’t lose any steam because of this, and you could still do more coming out of it too. Expected booking isn’t always bad booking.
– Singles Match: Karrion Kross
This is armchair booking with my heart, instead of my head. After seeing so many rumors about whether he was gonna stay with the E or not, I’d have to guess this match will tell us one way or the other. Would love to see the homie put over on the second biggest stage of the year.
– World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther
I kept going back and forth on this one, and landed on Gunther for a few reasons. First off, that belt is better when he has it, plain and simple. Second, his second reign hasn’t really breathed yet. And third, there’s plenty of room for an overbooked finish to eventually lead Punk back to Seth, and neither one needs the belt for that to work and work well.
NIGHT 2:
Triple Threat Match for the Women’s World Championship: Naomi
– Going off at -1500 on BetOnline is not what I expected, honestly. I’m assuming that this is a sort of transition match to get to the next program, but maybe they’ll do the Lyra/Becky/Bayley thing and run it back with just two of them at a later time. Either way it’s awesome for Naomi to finally be getting her damn flowers.
– No DQ, No Countout Match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Lyra Valkyria
Should be one of the best matches of the evening. Maybe not a program-ender, but should still be a banger. Lyra is due to win one in the tete-a-tete, and this makes sense as the one.
– Steel Cage Match for the WWE United States Championship: Solo Sikoa
Look, the man has NFTs still. That’s just sad. The stable needs a bit of oomph right now, and a big retention in the cage would go a long way.
– WWE Intercontinental Dominik Mysterio
I haven’t seen a lot of Raws or Smacks Down the past few weeks, but from what I can gather, AJ’s schtick with Dominik has been gold. Either way, with “Unc” getting close to calling it, I have a feeling he’s gonna be the “put the roster over on the way out” type… and good on him for it.
– TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: Andrade and Rey Fenix
All based on odds, to be honest, because how the hell do your forecast a 6-way match?? I can’t see how it can work with so many folks, even with several on the outside at a time. But I’m hopeful.
– Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes
Either John’s face turn will stick and Cody will turn heel, or John will reverse his face turn and Cody will stay face himself. Either way he should walk out of MetLife Stadium as the champ, and we’ll see what creative has for him leading into the latter part of the ye-who am I kidding he’s gonna run it back with John until 2029.
