Once again, today’s expert commentary is brought to us by Zack:
Dark Match #1, Grudge Match: Marina Shafir
This won’t be the only dark match on the card; if it was, I’d always put the face over going into the larger enchilada of the main card. Which is why I think we’ll have at least one more dark match. Why not prognosticate that too?

Dark Match #2, For Unexplained Reasons: Costco Guy A.J. vs. Colt Cabana
Big Boom vs. Boom Boom. How has nobody booked it yet?!?!? Also Colt once wrestled in JCW under the name “Jack Offerson”, which I felt like I needed to mention. I know I didn’t pick this match yet, and I won’t, on principle. Unless there’s points involved, then I pick A.J. of course.

Oh they’ve actually announced the other dark matches now, please discard the above with malice.

Dark Match #2 For Real This Time, For the National Championship: Jack Perry
I love Dunkzilla, but I think this one is clear. It’ll continue moving things forward with Jack and the DCF, and I’m excited for all the matches that could come of that pairing in the future.

Dark Match #3, For the Women’s World Tag Titles: Divine Dominion
I love that Divine Dominion and WWE’s Irresistible Forces team of Nia Jax and Lash Legend are both thriving. Monster heels are the best, and monster heel tag teams are even better. Or at least they should be better. (I’m looking at YOU, Brothers of Destruction.) A clear-cut result, and recent signees Hyan and Maya World should at least get a bit of offense in. But this is Megan and Lena’s world for the moment.

Tag Team Titles: Cope and Cage
I think this gets us nice and tidy-like to Bucks vs. Cope/Cage… maybe at DoN? Can they stretch it out long enough to get a three-way (six-way?) TLC match at All In across the pond in July? Either way, it’s one of the easiest booking decisions on the card.

AEW Continental Title: Will Ospreay
He’s back, he’s crisp, and he’s definitely going over here. Mox is probably due another cooling off soon too… maybe the expected betrayal by the rest of the Death Riders, on the way to going back tweener? For Will, we’re certainly gonna get a world title match in Wembley, and this is a convenient stepping stone. I’ll go ahead and put it out into the world: Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada vs. Will Ospreay vs. Jay White. Maybe a title involved, who cares if there’s not.

World Title Eliminator I Guess? Darby Allin
I don’t know anyone in either of the Big Two orgs right now – and perhaps all of pro wrestling – that has a hotter trajectory than Andrade. He’s being booked well, he looks great in matches, he looks great out of matches. He’s a million bucks, and I can’t imagine anyone slowing that down. Which is why we’ll get our one boneheaded booking of the night, and Darby will go over.

Women’s World Title: Thekla
I was ready to just copy/paste whatever glowing review I had of Thekla in picks past, but I couldn’t find one! That’s a problem. Let’s rectify that now, shall we? Thekla has been on such a great run, and has been doing the most with said run. Not sure if DoN or All In is the time to have her drop it – I’d guess one or the other – but it’s definitely not now. Should be a banger of a match though.

Casino Gauntlet Match: Swerve Strickland
As much as I’d like to think that this would be won by a debuting star, or someone returning from injury, I don’t think that’ll be the case. (Full Disclosure: if not for his already debut and involvement in the card, this 1000% would have been David Finley for my picks.) Instead, I went with someone who wasn’t otherwise on the card, and would make sense in the TNT Title hunt – especially after having recently lost a World Title eliminator to… actually hold that thought, we’re not quite there yet.

Tag Team Grudge Match: Young Bucks
This is as much to set up Bucks/Cope+Cage as it is to set up another Okada vs. Takeshita tilt. I will pop for both of these outcomes in equal amounts.

Why? Why Are We Forcing Ricochet To Carry A 55-Year-Old Man? Match: Chris Jericho
I hate everything about it. The least he can do is put Ricky over (although I don’t know how much weight that even carries in 2026). But that won’t happen. Chris will probably make a World Title push. It don’t matter. None of this matters.

Trios Titles: The Dogs
The (FKA War) Dogs reign is officially recognized as starting on 4/11, due to the magic of tape delay – which would amount to possibly less than 24 hrs. if the Conglomeration go over. That can’t happen, right? That would be too silly, to book, right? …right? I hope so. Plus the Unknown Wrestler Theorem clearly states that any wrestler or team is vastly more likely to go over in a match if some involved wrestlers are not known prior to the event. The science is sweet.

World Title: MJF
Perhaps you keep the belt on him til Will at Wembley? Perhaps there’s more meat on the bone with Kenny, and Kenny goes over at DoN? Perhaps the armchair booking of Kenny vs. Will vs. Okada vs. Switchblade happens like I mentioned before? Look: as many times as I have to say it, I’ll say it. The nice thing for MJF too is that the run is not long in the tooth yet, starting in late December at Worlds End, so we’re not desperate for a change at this point.
